Job description

  • Oversee comprehensive surveillance of the labor market, continuously improving the monitoring process to deliver rigorous, timely, and relevant economic assessments and forecasts, primarily supporting the client's policy decision-making.
  • Monitor labor market trends and enhance tracking processes to provide accurate and timely economic insights and forecasts that aid the client's policy decisions.
  • Plan, manage, and conduct research and strategic studies on long-term structural issues, particularly in the labor market, as well as other areas relevant to sustainable economic growth and concerns related to monetary, fiscal, and financial policies.
  • Oversee the drafting of well-written research papers and other publications to disseminate findings internally and publicly, and assist in drafting policy recommendations based on research findings.
  • Participate in and initiate collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to improve overall surveillance and research capacity.
  • Stay updated with the latest theoretical and empirical techniques to enhance research capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Economics, with a f ocus on Labour Economics or a related field.
  • Preferably at least 5 years of working experience in the economics sector or f inancial sector.
  • Proven experience in conducting empirical research and economic modeling related to labour
  • markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with prof iciency in statistical sof tware and econometric techniques.
  • Ability to produce research papers within the stipulated deadline.
  • Sound understanding of the domestic economy and its impact on economic growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in policy advisory or consulting is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and independently when needed.
