Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adapt global HR strategies to align with regional and local business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain compliant HR policies that meet both company standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances, conducting detailed investigations to promote fair resolutions.
  • Oversee and manage disciplinary processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies and local labor laws.
  • Provide support to managers with performance management tasks, including reviews, development plans, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Foster a globally consistent employee experience by advising on retention, engagement, and talent development initiatives.
  • Support organizational transformation efforts, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal operational disruptions within the region.
  • Serve as a mentor and advisor to both employees and managers on matters of conflict resolution and employee relations.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in English, with additional fluency in an Asian language being an asset.
  • Strong familiarity with employment laws and regulations in both Australia and Malaysia.
  • Professional HR certification (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a strategic HR role, especially within a multinational organization, is highly desirable.
