Test Equipment Manager

Our client is a global semiconductor company in Melaka. Due to rapid expansion, they are now seeking a Test Equipment Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Manage and mentor a team of test engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet production and R&D testing requirements.
• Drive improvements in test methodologies and equipment performance to enhance production yield and product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to implement new test strategies for innovative Semiconductor products.
• Ensure all test equipment complies with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and implement corrective actions for performance improvement.
• Work closely with equipment suppliers for upgrades, troubleshooting, and procurement of new systems.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality, to align test capabilities with business needs.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in test equipment management, preferably in the Semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of Semiconductor testing methodologies, automated test systems, and relevant equipment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for equipment performance evaluation.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with optical, electrical, and thermal testing for semiconductor products.
• Experience in working with vendors and negotiating contracts for test equipment.
