Technical Sales Manager (Packaging)

Job description

Our client is a global semiconductor company. Due to rapid expansion, they are seeking a Technical Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales and pipeline targets.
  • Submit Requests for Proposals (RFP) and support related activities.
  • Lead the introduction of new technical projects and package introductions by coordinating technical information between the factory and customers.
  • Provide strong technical support to customers, bridging them with factories.
  • Attend and contribute to technical discussions in non-standard review meetings, project meetings, and new product introduction meetings.
  • Expedite critical PCN approval by offering technical support.
  • Support purchasing on material issues (e.g., end of life of L/Frame tooling, stamped frame conversions) by working closely with the factory.
  • Provide and facilitate an overview of the company's technology roadmap to customers.
  • Develop annual pipeline projections and provide bi-weekly updates.
  • Support and strategize a total assembly and test solution, including developing proposals offering customers comprehensive solutions to capture new business.
  • Stay updated with customer roadmaps and continuously update the factory.
  • Keep up with suppliers' technology developments on materials and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
  • Job demands:
    • Close liaison with factories in Malaysia/China and potentially other sales personnel is key to this role.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Background: Experience in semiconductor packaging and package design or final test is an advantage.
  • Qualifications & Experience: Degree or equivalent and related working experience (Semiconductor/OSAT/Assembly & Test).
