Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring & Incident Management: Oversee production systems to identify performance issues, anomalies, and errors, ensuring system availability and uptime. Respond to incidents and troubleshoot problems, working with development and operations teams.
  • System Optimization: Drive automation, enhance operational efficiency, and implement improvements for system reliability. Participate in post-incident reviews to prevent recurring issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with multiple squads and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of technical solutions. Provide updates on incidents, resolutions, and system performance.
  • Risk Management & Process Improvement: Assess and mitigate risks in production changes, follow change management processes, and contribute to process improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership within the team, ensuring technical excellence, mentoring engineers, and contributing to talent growth and retention. Guide teams on best practices and new technologies.


Job Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields with 10+ years of experience in a similar engineering lead role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell), OS management (Linux, Windows), monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, Prometheus), and database development (SQL, Oracle, MySQL). Experience with incident management and ITIL processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and identify rootContinue causes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels, and work effectively with globally distributed teams.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in risk management, change management processes, and fostering engineering excellence. Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations.
