Research & Development Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor company located in the North of Malaysia. They are seeking a Research & Development Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

• Drive initiatives to develop and commercialize technologies aligned with corporate goals.
• Strengthen internal capabilities for value engineering, cost reduction, and problem-solving.
• Ensure competitive edge by guiding R&D programs and infrastructure improvements.
• Manage patents and collaborate with customers on product, material, and process development.
• Oversee product design teams for fast, cost-effective time-to-market solutions.
• Lead packaging solutions and deliver technical presentations to customers.
• Align technical strategy with business objectives and advise management on key developments.
• Monitor new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance products and operations.
• Manage the R&D pilot line for continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10-15 years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Expertise in assembly, testing, IC packaging, and project management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and business planning skills.
