R&D Assistant Manager

You will be responsible to:

• Collaborate with the Manager-R&D to plan, execute, and oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously.
• Lead project teams and provide guidance to achieve project objectives and milestones.
• Contribute to the development of new personal care products by researching and testing various formulations and ingredients.
• Improve existing products through formulation enhancements and performance optimization.
• Stay up to date with local and international regulations and standards related to personal care products.
• Ensure product formulations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior R&D team members, providing technical expertise and training.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage creativity and professional growth.
• Maintain detailed records of R&D activities, including formulation data, experiments, and results.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to the Manager -R&D and other relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in managing the R&D budget and resources effectively to achieve project goals while controlling costs.
• Work closely with Business Development team to understand consumer needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality raw materials and ingredients for product development.
• Collaborate with Production to ensure scalable manufacturing processes.

You are required to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal care product development, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of personal care formulations, as well as experience with industry regulations and standards (GMP, ISO, Halal and Cosmetic Guidelines).
• Proficiency in formulating personal care products.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• A passion for innovation, creativity, and a deep interest in staying current with industry trends and advancements.
