Quality Assurance Manager

Job description

Our client is a rapidly expanding FMCG company based in Selangor. They are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the site's Hold & Release program to ensure compliance with TAG's food safety & quality standards and relevant regulations.
  • Implement food safety and quality programs at the site, covering GMP (Pest Control, Sanitation), sensory evaluation, and maintaining GLP for the analytical and microbiology lab.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation including SOPs, product manuals, specifications, work instructions, and records to meet FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GQS requirements.
  • Provide technical support for capital and NPD projects to ensure adherence to TAG's food safety & quality standards.
  • Drive Process Improvement initiatives: Assess processes, resource allocation, and KPI achievement, collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process enhancement and simplification. Initiate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to minimize NCR and consumer complaints (RFT and CPMUS).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the QA Operation team, with a focus on succession planning. Responsible for resource planning to optimize cost utilization.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, or Food Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years of quality assurance experience in the food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years at the managerial level.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in internationally recognized audit standard (FSSC22000, HACCP, ISO9001).
  • Basic understanding of regulatory requirements in both local and export countries in Southeast Asia.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and projects effectively and thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Bahasa Malay and English
