Join a FMCG Company and Take Lead as the Purchasing Lead!

If you are looking for growth in a fast-moving environment and take on an end-to-end Purchasing and Procurement role, this is the role for you! We're looking for a Purchasing Manager who can manage end-to-end Material Sourcing, Purchasing and overseeing Logistics.

This role oversees the local Malaysia market, with direct involvement with the global offices in Europe, China and SEA. If you have the right experience and are looking to do even more, let's connect and chat!

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and supplier performance to secure favorable materials and costing.
  2. Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements.
  3. Sourcing: Identify and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  4. Logistics Management: Oversee import operations and ensure timely delivery, with OTIF being key KPI.
  5. Inventory Management: Align purchasing with production needs and manage inventory levels, reducing instances of OOS and aging stocks.
  6. Team Leadership: Collaborate with internal departments and lead the purchasing team of 5 members

Job Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Over 5 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  3. Analytical & Technical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in Excel, and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MRP.
  4. Contract & Supplier Management: Proven negotiation skills, contract management experience, and familiarity with sourcing and inventory management.
  5. Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with leadership experience and the ability to manage forwarders and import operations.
