Project Manager (Interior Design & Fitout)

A rapidly growing F&B retail company is looking for a dynamic Project Manager (Interior Design & Fitout) to lead all new site setup and renovation projects across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project programmes for all new, refurbishment and rebrand projects to be delivered across all stores and manage procurement schedule that ties into the master programme
• Identifying, communicating and managing accordingly and key risks or issues relating to the master programme and ensure key stakeholders remain informed and accountable to achieve key milestone
• Responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire project through budgeting, hiring team members, sourcing suppliers and contractors and planning the project release
• Managing, coordinating and supervising all Interior Design (ID) work from the third-party designers
• Managing all aspects of commercial management including but not limited to budget preparation, cost reports, variations, capex, invoice and payment tracking and ensure project budgets are delivered within the approved budget amount
• Managing in company's tender processes including consultants, contractors and other direct vendors as required to ensure the best possible result for the company is achieved
• Ensuring that all outlet development projects are performed within the set budget, timeframe and quality standards
• Liaising with mall management, authorities, franchisee and relevant parties to resolve any problems that may arise during outlet renovation
• Developing and leading team members to deliver a strategy to improve the standard of preventive maintenance
• Responsible for the review and approval of processed invoices associated with outlet development and maintenance expenditure

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture & Design or related field of study
• Minimum 5 years' interior design and fitout project management experience in the F&B retail industry
• Solid experience in handling new outlet setup projects
• Prior experience managing redesign, renovation and construction of restaurants and other F&B retail outlets
• Have knowledge and skills in Interior Design (ID) related work, such as drawing layout plan, 3D sketches, materials used and the reasoning
• Familiar with equipment and machinery used in the F&B retail industry
• Strong eye-to-detail and outlet design
• Knowledgeable with software such as MS Project, MS Office, MS PowerPoint
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, management and collaborative skills
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Ability to look at situations from several points of view
