Process Engineering Manager

Our client is a global leader in semiconductor solutions, which serves various industries, including automotive and industrial, focusing on energy-efficient technologies that drive innovation and sustainability. They are currently seeking a Process Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
  • Oversee the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of semiconductor assembly processes, with a focus on wire bonding, soldering, and module assembly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth process integration from development to production.
  • Apply deep expertise in semiconductor materials and Bill of Materials (BOM) to develop and maintain efficient, cost-effective processes.
  • Execute process improvements and upgrades to optimize yield, quality, and reliability of assembly operations.
  • Utilize knowledge of Development Procedures (such as APQP and Design-FMEA) to ensure rigorous development and validation of new processes.
  • Perform statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE) to analyze data, validate processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage projects related to power module development, ensuring timely and efficient project completion while meeting quality and performance standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of process engineers, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork across diverse stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor assembly processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Expertise in Semiconductor Bill of Materials (BOM) and development procedures such as APQP and Design-FMEA.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and DoE planning to improve processes and solve complex technical problems.
  • Specific know-how in assembly processes, such as wire bonding, soldering, or module assembly would be highly sought after.
  • Experience with power module design and related materials would be an added benefit.
  • Project management experience in power module development is desirable.
  • Proficiency with JMP software for statistical analysis and data visualization would be advantageous.
