A leading multinational corporation. With a 30 billion USD worldwide market, it is looking to expand its Malaysia shared services center and hire Payroll Specialist talents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive payroll operations for Japan/Thailand, including calculations, adjustments, and distribution.
• Assist the Payroll Manager in liaising with vendors for payroll-related tasks.
• Keep payroll and employee records accurate and current in the local payroll system.
• Perform payroll testing and system updates to ensure precision and compliance.
• Manage statutory filings such as social insurance, labor insurance, year-end tax adjustments, and other regulatory submissions.
• Help prepare and distribute payroll reports and related documents.
• Address employee inquiries about payroll and benefits, providing timely support and issue resolution.
• Contribute to annual payroll activities, audits, and process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to local labor laws and tax regulations in Japan.
• Work with HR and Finance teams to offer insights on compensation trends and benefits administration.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing in Japan/Thai.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese/Thai and English.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese payroll regulations, social insurance, and tax laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• High proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with payroll systems.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
• Knowledge of payroll operations in other countries is an advantage
