Mechanical and Maintenance Lead

Job description

We're looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components to meet our company's engineering requirements. This role demands a solid grasp of mechanical principles, proficiency in CAD software, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create mechanical systems, components, and products based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) to produce detailed design drawings and models.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to assess the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of proposed designs.
  • Analyze equipment failure data to identify patterns and potential issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis to understand the reasons behind failures.
  • Lead site-wide Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Devise and implement new procedures and processes to enhance equipment uptime and availability.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to record design processes, test results, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Create assembly instructions, operation manuals, and maintenance procedures for manufactured products.
  • Collaborate with technical writers and documentation specialists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems with other subsystems.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements, present design proposals, and provide progress updates.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of designs.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, product development, and engineering analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
