Finance Intern

Ambition Group are an Australian headquartered recruitment company with offices across Australia, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Our Kuala Lumpur office is currently looking for an intern on either a full or part-time basis to assist with data entry and database administration.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be reporting into our Financial Controller based in Malaysia. This role will be for an initial period of two months, with the potential to extend, and would be ideally suited to a student (Y2 onwards) or recent graduate.
Key Responsibilities:
Role 1 - AP centric:
- Invoice Processing/OCR - Review and verify the accuracy of invoices.
- Staff Expenses Verification - Ensure that all staff expenses are correct and comply with company policies.
- Request Missing Documents - Follow up with employees to collect any missing documentation for their staff expenses.
- Invoice Downloading - Retrieve invoices from the portal and submit them to Concur on a monthly basis.
- AMEX Statement Management - Download AMEX statements and send to Executive Assistants and MDs.
- Staff Expenses Monthly Report- Compile and finalize the monthly staff expenses reports for various locations after month-end.
- System Maintenance (Concur & BC) - Update and maintain vendor and staff information in the systems.
Role 2 - AR centric:
- Maintaining accurate information to ensure a high-quality data base
- Coding all candidate and client data based on requirements provided.
- Generate information from related party for audit purpose
- Inputting correct candidate and client data into companies database
- Download invoice from client portal and save related supporting in folder
Additional Requirements:
- It is preferable for candidates to have their own laptop to complete tasks efficiently, especially for remote or flexible working arrangements.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new financial systems.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Good level of computer literacy - able to use basic MS Office products (Word, Excel etc)
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent written English language skills (reading and writing fluency is essential due to the requirements of the role)
- High level of integrity
- Positive attitude and ability to work on your own, as well as part of a team
