Engineering & Maintenance Manager (Semiconductor)

Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor company in the North of Malaysia. Due to rapid expansion, they are currently seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in yield, cycle time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop team members in both technical competencies and soft skills.
• Develop a deep understanding of RF Power Products and Wide Band Gap products.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve issues related to product specifications, materials, and process capabilities, while driving yield and quality enhancements.
• Engage with vendors to identify and implement alternative suppliers and process improvements.
• Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the acquisition and commissioning of new equipment.
• Continuously monitor and improve standard operating procedures and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and enforce compliance with operational procedures.
• Coordinate quality-related issues across quality assurance, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Monitor and track quality performance metrics, addressing potential issues proactively.
• Identify and disseminate best practices, while maintaining clear communication of quality alerts or changes to all stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor process engineering, statistical process control, and design of experiments (DOE).
• Familiarity with methodologies such as Taguchi and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Technical report writing proficiency.
• Effective management and organizational skills.
