Encapsulation Process Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor company in Malacca. They are seeking to hire an Encapsulation Process Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the encapsulation process engineering team, driving innovation and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
• Develop, implement, and optimize encapsulation processes to achieve high product reliability and quality.
• Oversee the selection and validation of encapsulation materials, ensuring compatibility with packaging and assembly processes.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and other relevant automotive quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and production, to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Manage supplier relationships and work closely with vendors to evaluate and qualify encapsulation materials.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Prepare and present regular updates on process development and performance to senior management.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related field).
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of encapsulation materials and processes, including silicone, epoxy, and other relevant technologies.
• Proven expertise in implementing and maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and process troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles is an added advantage
