Design Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end process for Solar PV system and electrical design, from site assessment to technical proposals.
• Lead a team of engineers and draughtsmen.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards and design principles for high-quality, safe, and innovative project outcomes.
• Participate in research and development of new renewable energy technologies.
• Design Solar PV systems, including Electrical Circuit Diagrams, Switchboards, Control Panels, and Cable routing plans.
• Conduct Site Surveys to optimize solar/renewable energy systems economically and in compliance with standards.
• Provide technical recommendations based on site conditions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement, and Licensing teams to ensure on-time project completion for optimal performance.
• Perform additional duties assigned by superiors as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power major) or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in the Solar Energy Industry preferred. Open to other industries such as Utilities, oil and gas, renewabale energy.
• Proficiency in Autocad/Google Sketchup required; familiarity with PVsyst/Helioscope advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership in engineering design and management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Independent, self-initiative, responsible, and committed personality.
• Own transport and willingness to travel as needed.
