Cost Analyst/Assistant Manager - FP&A

About our clients:

Our clients are a multinational products manufacturing company in Malaysia who is looking to hire an experienced Costing Analyst/FP&A Assistant Manager, who will be responsible for end-to-end financial analytics and costing matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, based in Subang/Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring of product costings and inventories in the system, ensuring that it is updated always.
  • Prepare financial and manufacturing reports and detailed financial analysis, working closely with the CEO and CFO on the results and solutions.
  • Act as the business partner to management and multiple stakeholders, which includes operations, supply chain, commercial team, etc.
  • Leading the annual stock take and there might be travelling to other states in Malaysia, depends on operational needs.
  • Responsible for forecast and budgeting up to Gross Profit, working closely with the Finance Manager for finalization.
  • Actively provide recommendation on cost savings and process improvements.
  • Perform in ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess Degree in Finance/Accountancy or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant financial reporting + analytics and costing, in the manufacturing industry.
  • People management experience is an added advantage.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, proactive and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
