Commodity Manager

Job description

Our client is one of the leading companies when it comes to the semiconductor industry. Due to expansion plans, they are currently looking for a Commodity Manager to join their growing company. This role will be based in Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To connect with key suppliers to assess the market conditions, product plans, technology trends, and the development of new projects.
  • Facilitate and oversee pricing negotiations to ensure that the outcomes align with the overall objectives.
  • Hold a preliminary meeting with the commodity management team leader to outline the negotiation strategy, tactics, and key issues.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 6-8 years of experience in a semiconductor environment.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP operations.
  • Experience in dealing with DIRECT commodities.
  • People management experience.
