CFO for Energy and Construction industry

About our Client
Our client is a public listed company based in KL with businesses in Renewable Energy, Construction and Services. With upcoming plans in place to expand and develop their business further in line with the growth of the Renewable Energy sector, they are looking for an ambitious CFO to join their team.

Responsibilities
Your role as a CFO in this company is to support the CEO and senior management in providing strategic financial leadership to ensure effective decision-making. You will drive and steer the finance team to achieve operational efficiency in financial reporting, financial analysis and the day-to-day finance operations. Your role will also provide oversight on forecasting, budgeting, FP&A, statutory reporting, taxation and treasury. You will take charge and focus on Corporate Finance and Strategic Planning for the business which includes evaluation of investment opportunities, maintaining relationships with external parties such as bankers, regulators and government bodies. There is also the opportunity for this position in playing an active business partnering role with the heads of other functions such as IT, Procurement and HR.

Skills and Experience Required
To be shortlisted for this role, you will need at least 15 years experience in a progressive role within Financial Reporting and Statutory Reporting, including a minimum of 7 years in a CFO or Senior Finance position supporting the Senior Leadership Team. You will need experience working in a PLC ideally in the Energy or Construction industry and professional accounting qualification such as ICAEW/CPA/ACCA and MIA. Prior experience in Corporate Finance in a listed company or investment bank advantageous along with strong stakeholder management skill both internally and externally.
