Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance & Control

Job description

My client is a leading manufacturer of chemical additives. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant QAQC Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Utilize analytical techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Gas Chromatography (GC) to analyse product quality.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns and implement improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities and findings.
  • Support the Quality Manager in training and mentoring quality control staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, FTIR, and GC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
