Job Summary: My client is seeking an Assistant Manager, Export Operations to manage and optimize export supply chain operations, including freight sourcing and coordination on export logistics. This role involves developing strategies to optimize transportation costs, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Export Logistics Management: Oversee export documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and track shipments to guarantee timely delivery. Experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management is essential.
• Freight Sourcing & Management: Develop strategies to optimize transportation costs, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to international trade laws and mitigate risks associated with export operations. Knowledgeable in Strategic Trade Act Management.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain performance, prepare reports, and develop KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of logistics and freight operations.
• Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Comply with the company's Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies and requirements at all times. Promote and cultivate a safe working environment by encouraging good safety practices among all employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management or freight sourcing with a focus on export operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Expertise in international shipping regulations, strong negotiation abilities, and proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in using SAP B1 software and tools.
