Assistant Finance Manager/Finance Manager

About our client:

Our client is a multinational company in FMCG consumer products industry, with established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager, who will be responsible for full spectrum of finance matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller based in Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, in accordance with the required statutory requirements.
  • Provide high level information and analytics and participate in management decision making.
  • Responsible for forecast and budgeting activities.
  • Oversee subordinates as well as guiding new members whenever necessary.
  • Active involvement in providing support for operation and commercial teams' needs.
  • Review and implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company SOP whenever necessary.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit.
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, analytical skills, people manager and able to adapt to business needs and changes.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
