Accountant

About your company

This company is based in Kuala Lumpur. They are looking for highly detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join their growing team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

About your role

• This role will report to the Group Finance Manager.
• Prepare and maintain detailed regional financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Accurately reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis.
• Calculate and post monthly accruals and prepayments for management accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings for regional accounts.
• Assist in implementing accounting software or process improvements to enhance the efficiency of regional accounting operations.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in Audit firm and Commercial environment.
• Effective verbal communication skills with internal and external clients are required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate financial discrepancies.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and able to work without direct supervision.
