My Background

Siew Yong is an experienced and accomplished executive and technical career advisor with extensive experience in developing and executing talent acquisition and recruitment strategies within both agency and end-user / in-house settings. Prior joining Ambition, Siew Yong held several senior positions within internal recruitment and management consulting across SME, PLC, MNC, and Fortune 500 company in Malaysia.  She has been actively involved in career mentoring and coaching programmes with the objective to support building better futures for the talent community in Malaysia. She is an active career coach and mentor with HRDF, TalentCorp, Tulips Movement, Girl4Girl, and other programmes. For the past 12 months, she has hosted many careers clinic and webinars on career transition and related topics as part of initiatives to support professionals during this challenging time. Siew Yong holds a Master of Business Administration – International Management from the University of RMIT Australia.

My core focus is on executive search for C-level, strategic hiring within technology, financial services, and fintech verticals. My team recruits roles across technology, including Application & ERP, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure, Data & Digital Marketing, across all industries such as commerce, global business services / shared services, financial services and insurance, and related. My team also covers roles within banking and financial services across all functions from front / middle / back office, operations - finance, legal, audit/risk/compliance, and many more.
